Have you found the cute sweater card creations on Pinterest, blogs and YouTube? After I made this one for my class, I found some "ugly sweater" cards that are far from ugly and very, very cute.
My mom noticed that I had made it like a woman would button, so I made another one man style and then turned the cable knit 180 degrees. You can choose which you like best and change the colors of the shirt and buttons. The buttons were made by punching 1/2" circles and piercing the holes.
The ribbing was made with a previously discontinued product called Paper Crimper. A lot of you probably have one tucked away somewhere in your craft supplies. Some clever crafters used an embossing folder to make the ribbing. How about the new Festive or Woodgrain ones?
In case you haven't seen it, Stampin' Up! made a YouTube video showing the best way to use the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It is a lot thicker that the regular ones, so the "sandwich" is different. You'll also need a spritzer filled with alcohol.
