Ooops! In all the busy-ness of yesterday, I forgot to post this.
A couple of my regular class members requested doing shaker cards, so off I went to find some ideas on Pinterest. Two of them which used the Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jar Thinlits bundle really caught my attention: a floral bouquet card by Melissa Tennison and a double Z fold firefly card by Kathleen Wingerson.
Here's my adaptation of Melissa's. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Basic Gray. The sequins are from the past Banner Surprise Paper Pumpkin kit (I sorted the circles from the stars).
This firefly card is what we made in class using the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper. Some flipped the brick wall paper over to the spooky houses side and then made a Happy Halloween tag for the jar (Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set). I had a jar of the discontinued silver chunky glitter and some silver cord on hand. The greeting is from the Watercolor Wishes stamp set included in that card kit.
The Foam Strips (p. 182, #141825) are about twice as thick as the Stampin' Dimensionals, so they provide greater spacing between the Window Sheet and backing for larger fillers like sequins.
I am looking forward to using this fun bundle for "other than shaker" cards. There are 37 stamps in the set for lots more options!
