For the past couple years, I have made mini desk calendars using the large calendar pads available from Vippie.com. This year, I decided to host a Play Date where stamping friends can come make one. While looking up new ideas on Pinterest, I found several styles to choose from. I settled on 4 to display and provide instructions.
This first style I have made before. I used the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, choosing Crumb Cake card stock for the base and Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber for the flower and fern accent. The base is cut 6" x 11" and the finished size is 6" x 3 1/4".
For this second style, I used another of the Affectionately Yours Designer Series Papers and Flirty Flamingo card stock for the base, which is cut 4 1/4" x 11". I added a pocket to hold note papers.
The last two are the easel type in different sizes. The first style I made last year and posted on 1/13/16. Click here for that post with instructions.
This year, I used the Moroccan Designer Series Paper with a Bermuda Bay card stock base, cut 4 1/4" x 9". The finished size is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" with a tray for note papers.
The finished size on this last one is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". I used the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper and Night of Navy card stock for the base, cut 4 1/4" x 11".
The Designer Series Papers really make it easy to personalize and decorate the calendars. I am excited to see what my friends use to make theirs today. I hope they let me photograph them to post for you.
Happy New Year!
