Making masculine cards is all about simplicity, subject matter, color choice and just the right amount of bling. For inspiration, see the Urban Underground Suite in the Occasions 2017 catalog on pages 46 - 48.
For this card, I chose to use the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to impress the Silver Foil Sheet piece. It doesn't give the really deep impression that it would on card stock spritzed with alcohol as shown on page 46. BUT it is just the right amount of bling for a masculine card. I also grunged it up by swiping the impressed image with the StazOn Black pad. Some of my class stampers were happier with just the silver impressed image as is.
The background on the Basic Gray card is made with the swish and speckle stamps from Gorgeous Grunge stamped with the Basic Black Archival Pad. The large Happy Birthday from the new Birthday Blast stamp set on Smoky Slate card stock really stands out. And I added a star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes flanked by Rhinestones to finish the card.
I gave the class stampers 2 other ideas for layout after all the pieces were stamped. And even then, they came up with others. It's all about personal creativity!
