I find so many ideas on Pinterest, YouTube or other blogs to share at my classes. There are so many that it is hard to choose, but I manage to get it down to 4 or 5. Most of the time I change them up, and this Carols of Christmas card is one of them that is pretty close to the original I found on Pinterest by Jennifer Cerizo.
I just eliminated some of the layers and put in the holly instead of a bow, so the card is flatter for mailing. Who wants to pay extra postage when you're sending a lot of cards?
The colors I used are Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Gold. I heat embossed the gold ornaments first and layered the die cut ones on top with glue dots.
A tip for using the die to cut the border: Use a removing tape to hold down the die even with the Magnetic Platform. It is a more flexible die that tends to shift out of place, especially when running forward and then back to make sure the intricate cuts are made.
I am busy getting ready for the Christmas Card Stack Class next week. I usually hold it the 3rd week of the month, but TODAY is our 50th Anniversary. Lots of fun planned for today together and then tomorrow with our son and his family. In January we take a cruise with my hubby's brother and his wife.
As you can probably tell, I am slowing down on blogging. I will be moving away from Feedblitz for your automatic emails, so don't be surprised when I get that done in the next couple weeks.
